Tryout to be part of the world’s fastest growing sport: Roller Derby! The Hudson Valley Horrors are now recruiting for the 2012 season and we want YOU!

If you’re looking to challenge yourself and to be part of a team, roller derby will bring out the athlete in you! The Horrors are members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) which “promotes and fosters the sport of women’s flat track derby by facilitating the development of athletic ability and sportswoman-ship.” Athleticism and competitiveness is encouraged.

Trying to fulfill a New Year’s resolution to shed some unwanted pounds?  Roller Derby can help you with that! So grab a friend and come try out!  We are also looking for Referees and non-skating individuals to volunteer (male and female).
Although no experience is necessary, it is very helpful. You must be 18 or older to tryout.

Last chance to see the Horrors! Going up against the Garden State Rollergirls on Saturday, November 12th at the Inline Skating Club of America!You know you love a NY, NJ battle on the track so hit the road and come support your team.

Tickets can be purchased online for $10 at www.brownpapertickets.com. Bring a canned good to the bout and get $2 off the price of admission! Doors open at 7:30, first whistle is at 8:30.

The Hudson Valley zomBsquad takes on the Hellions of Troy Roller Derby League on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Rollarama Skating Center, 2710 Hamburg St in Schenectady, NY at 7pm.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and $3 for kids under 12. Tickets are available through www.brownpapertickets.com. Fans can also bring their own chairs and sit on the side lines, known for the best views in the house. Beware the crash zone, however – you might end up with a derby girl in your lap. Following the bout, spectators are invited to join the teams at the after party for food and drinks.

Starboard seating will cost you $20. Seating in the bough will be $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

A Hudson River showdown is coming to Albany’s Washington Avenue Armory Saturday night, May 21, as the Albany All-Stars Roller Derby hosts us in a double-header clash for Hudson derby supremacy.

What do ice cream and zomB’s have in common? Both of them are guaranteed to make you scream!

The Hudson Valley Horrors, zomBsquad take on the newly announced Long Island B-Team, the Rock-A-Betty Bruisers, who will play in a double header event, to take place April 9, 2011 at Skate Safe America, 182 Bethpage Sweet Hollow Rd., Old Bethpage, NY. Doors will open at 6pm, with the first whistle at 6:30pm.
