Roller Derby Boot Camps

Hudson Valley Horrors boot camps are run by our team of coaches with 10 years of training and skating experience.  They are designed to get skaters prepared for tryouts and give them the basic skills needed to participate in the sport.

Boot Camp Details

We hold sessions throughout the season. Skaters can sign-up for one or more sessions. Boots camps are held at Hyde Park Roller Magic from 6:30-9 pm.

Determine Your Skill Level

Level 1

This level is for newbie skaters. No previous skating experience is needed. Our coaches will teach you skating fundamentals including proper form, stopping, crossovers, controlled lowering, and more.

Level 2

This level is for skaters with some skating experience. If you skated as a kid or skate casually on the weekend, our coaches will take your basic skill set to the next level and teach you some more advanced techniques.
